Welcome To The Sixties

Rayon 60s dress: Mauerpark Flohmarkt // vintage boots: ebay // 60s bag: flea market  ...

A couple of weeks ago I found this dress on Mauerpark Flea Market  ... Actually totally not my era but I fell in love with the collar and the cheap price. Also metal zipper, rayon ... So it came home with me. It is a bit snug around the hips/butt and a little loose at the waist ... But ... I have to announce: I like it on me. Isn't it's silhoutte quite flattering. The perfect dress for easy dress ups in the morning with out thinking too much and still looking well dressed.

Do you step out of your favourite eras once in a while - fashionwise?

Ms. Falcon's October On Instagram

Here are all the outfits that didn't make it to the blog the last few weeks ...
This October is very gentle if it comes to temperature and sunny days ... So I can still wear thin tights, light cardigans under a coat and nice shoes ... Soon  I will struggle with the cold and the question of how to make midcentury fashion winterproof.

Who Is Red Coat?

50s princess coat: Mauerpark Flohmarkt // top: H&M // 50s skirt: Made In Berlin Shop // vintage shoes: Arkona Platz Flea Market // 50s Purse: flea market

... For a few weeks now it is probably me. I am Red Coat. ...Since 'Pretty Little Liars' I can't wear a Red Coat without thinking of this show ... even if the End was kind of a let down.
Anyhow, I'm totally in love with this Princesscoat. It fits perfectly ... almost, it could be quite a bit longer, because I can wear it with just my shortest skirts. But you can't have everything! - A

Stadt, Land, Fluss

... quite a few days ago ... 50s jacket: flea market // green long sleave: H&M // 50s novelty skirt: Pick & Weight Shop Berlin // vintage belt: thrifted // shoes: clarks // 50s purse: flea market // 60s swirl brooch: flea market

This post title is hard to explain to not German speaking readers ... But I try. There is a German Party/Kids Game named 'Stadt, Land, Fluss' (City, Country, River). It is a quite cheap game, because  each player just needs a pen and a piece of paper. One person starts going through the alphabet  in her head  - from a-z  - and the person on their right has to say 'stop' when ever he/she wants. The letter thats on her/his mind by 'stop' is the letter tho play with.  Par example 'M': Munich (City), Madagaskar (Country), Main (River) ... Then the next person starts spelling ... The players earn points with their found words. Most points you get, if you are the only player with a name ... otherwise you get less.
What has this to do with this post .... I'm wearing a novelty skirt with a Cityscape ... and somehow I came across this title ... most of the most famous novelty prints show citys, rivers and landscapes ... Thats it. Hahaha.

Fall For Pants

What I wore one day last week ... vintage blazer: Pick & Weight shop //  silk 40s style sweater: eBay // pants: H&M // vintage belt: thrifted // lace up shoes: flea market // 70s bag: flea market // plastic fall brooch: Chronically Vintage Shop // swallow pin: flea market

Excuse the wrinkles but I shot this outfit after work  ... I'm pretty happy to have found another good fitting 40s style pants at H&M. This one costed more than the double as my black and rusty orange one, because it is mae from recycled fabrics ... Eeeerrrr, shouldn't it be cheaper then ???? Kidding. Anyhow, they are dark blue, Perfect for 40s styles ....
