Where Are You From? - Print

This is what I wore before the summer cold hit Germany ... 50s cotton dress: eBay // belt: Primark // crotcheted purse: flea market (H&M) // wedge sandals: old Gabors ...

I love this dress, even if it is a little too roomy for me ... but it is the perfect summer dress for me and I adore it's print. Has anyone an idea from which country this kind of pattern might be? I call this dress my Mexican dress although I know that it's not Mexican .... The colours remind somehow on the mexican pieces my grandparents brought me from Mexico when i was a kid ...

HatLove

Bolero: Primark // top: H&M // 50s indian print skirt: Made In Berlin/Kleidermarkt // vintage belt: thrifted // shoes: Deichmann // 40s-50s straw hat: flea market // 60s wickerpurse: gifted // orchid jewelery set: Chronically Vintage ...

I was so excited when I found a vintage loving friend selling on Mauerpark Flohmarkt some weeks ago. Her style is absolutely adorable (here). She was selling mostely modern vintage does 40s and 50s clothes but I already had picked out some lovely pieces when I noticed that she was selling some hats out of her stellar vintage hat collection. So I had to hang all the clothes back and left happily smiling with no money but with three new to me 40s-50s hats. I swooned over this straw hat so many times when I met my friend on her flea market strolls ... so I still can't believe, that this adorable hat is now living in my little but growing hat collection.

Every Skirt Tells A Story ... English Grammar Skirt

It is already a while a go, when I wore this outfit ... but finally it made it to the blog ... top: Primark // 60s novelty skirt: Made In Berlin/Kleidermarkt // vintage belt: thrifted // modern sandals // wicker purse: flea market ...

Isn't this skirt fun?! Grammar! Why isn't modern fashion not that fun anymore?! In the future I will show more close ups of my novelty printed pieces. Those marvelous treasure deserve a close look, because all these prints tell a little a story ...

Normally I don't leave to many words here ... if you like to read a little more about the lady behind this little vintage blog - that's me -  head over to wonderful Chronically Vintage. The lovely Jessica and I had quite a chat about vintage fashion, the bloggosphere and the German Vintage Scene.
Thank you so much, Jessica - I had a blast to answer all these questions!

Two Years Ago

Tomorrow is our second wedding aniversary ... As it is a day before our wedding today, I post pictures that were taken right before the marriage ceremony. I was wearing a late 40s lace dress and a late 50s head piece - the future husband wore my grand fathers tuxedo from the late 70s ... So tomorrow we plan to spend our aniversary going out for dinner and just doing things we love. ...

Warmer Days - Colder Days

A warmer day this early summer I wore this ... 40s crepe dress: eBay // vintage belt: thrifted // modern shoes: gift from my mum // 50s wickerpurse: thrifted  ...

On a colder sunday this summer i decided to go with layers ... 50s-60s coat: eBay (came as a suit) // vintage bouclé blazer: thrifted // t-shirt: H&M // vintage pants: eBay // shoes: flea market // vintage gobelin purse: flea market // rose jewelery set: Chronically Vintage ...

This summer is not so bad but if we talk about sunny days ... but sadly it's not very consistent if it comes to the temperature!!! There were already days I was sweating my ass off - and the next day felt like fall has accidentally arrived already. Right now, I'm freezing ... Wearing my cozy winter sweater, I normally wear in January - but the difference is, I wear it with shorts ...

Kermit's Jacket

... Romeo Gigli blazer: thrifted // 90s does 40s dress: thrifted // modern shoes // early 60s raffia purse: eBay // 50s hat: eBay // 50s handmade cherry brooch: flea market ...

I found this little blazer a couple of months ago at a local thrift shop. I notices the amazing quality and wonderfil silky soft fabrics it is made of ... I didn't recognized that it it a actual designer piece. As it's not true vintage it does a perfect job  worn with mid century styles. I wore it a lot the last weeks. Everytime I put it on I have to think about Kermit the Frog ... Sometimes it's not so bad to be green.

This outfit is from a while ago ... but I didn't want to waist it, even if the lighting is a little shitty here ...

Getrödelt, Gefunden, Gefreut ... Hüte En Masse

20s-30s straw cord hat, lovely condition ...

Light grey 40s-50s hat. I really struggle with how to wear it ... but it's details are totally adorable!

1950s slim turban style hat ... Perfect for colder days!

Grey hat with feather from the 50s ... originally it is darker.

I suppose it's a 40s-50s straw hat. My favoutite!

Colourful pointy straw hat from the 30s-40s. I have to remove the icky feather ...

Short English Recap: In the past month I was lucky to find quite a few vintage hats on the flea markets in town. There are even 5 hats not shown here! I spent something between 3-15-22€ on each of them. Past sunday when I found a vintage loving friend selling some of her treasures I had to leave some hats behind, because I ran out of money!!!!
